Dr. Demitris P. Kraniotis, President of the 22 World Congress of Poets, was crowned with a gold laurel wreath by UPLI President Benjamin R. Yuzon. Demitris not only put together the 22nd WCP, but is active in local, national and international poetry organizations promotion understanding and brotherhood. Congratulations!
Puntalee (Noi) Jirathun from Thailand, 17th WCP President, humbly accepts the highest award of UPLI, the Amado Yuzon Medal for exemplary work in promoting peace and brotherhood through poetry. Noi is published internationally and has has continued her good services in her retirement from her university position.
Panayota Christopoulou-Zaloni, Greece, received her gold laurel crown for long-time service to poetry and excellence in writing. The crown was originally bestowed in 2004 at the WCP in Texas, but she was unable to attend at that time.
