UPLI Global Poetry Contest Launched

UPLI President Gil Yuzon has announced the launching of the much-awaited UPLI GLOBAL POETRY CONTEST, which will run from August 15 to November 30, 2014. Finalists and winners will be announced in March 2015.

The contest is open to UPLI members and all other poets worldwide. Entries in English and other languages are welcome. Cash prizes and medals await the three major winners in each of the nine poetry categories, while the ten finalists in each category will be entitled to free one-year membership if they choose to join UPLI. A poet may join one or several categories, as long as he submits only one poem per category.

The contest is being announced in at least twenty-five countries, in social media, printed publications and news bureaus. Invitations to participate are also being sent to several hundred poetry organizations around the world.
