Hsinku Poetry Form
Dr. Kenneth Kuanling Fan, Shanghi, China and Taipei, Taiwan

Dr. Kenneth Kuanling Fan, Taipei Taiwan and Shanghai, China, is a true man of the world. He is UPLI’s Vice President Asia, and President of the 19th World Congress of Poets, the first ever to be held in China. This grand event was held in 2005. He also was the president of the first ever World Congress of Culture and Arts in Tai An, Shandong, China and the World Congress of Culture and Arts in Beijing, China. He has received recognition and awards from many leaders of the world. In September, 2009, he received the distinguished honor of International Ambassador of the Arts from Artists Embassy International based in San Francisco, California.


Born in mainland China, raised in Taiwan, Dr. Fan has recently been acclaimed by Chinese President Hu Jiantao for his most recent poetry and art book, Cross-Strait Antholoby which is part of his artistic bridge building policy of spanning the gaps of understanding between people, nations and cultures. Cross-Strait Anthology is the 17th of his series of Poetic Painting books of his own art and poetry.

His current cultural focus is the Beijing Top Country Culture, Inc. venture which is initiating the establishment of various cultural areas in major Chinese cities.

In addition to artistic pursuits, Dr. Kenneth Kuanling Fan is also an educator and business man. He wrote the first text on computer science in the Chinese language in which he coined the Chinese word for Computer which is currently in use.

From Cross-Strait Anthology, Dr. Fan Kuanling, Poetic Oil Painting, featuring the Hsinku Poetry Form, invented by Dr. Fan for use in all languages of the world. The form is four lines, 2nd and 4th lines rhyme. The first three lines set the scene, the fourth line is a twist on the theme.
