World brotherhood and peace through poetry

UPLI Poetry Pages in Japanese with English Translations

UPLI poets write in every language. Each language has its own poetic forms, imagery, allusions and unique means of representing new concepts of expressing world peace and brotherhood through poetry. To assist our world readers, we ask for English translations in addition to the original poetry in Japanese.

Poetry

By UPLI Members

United Poets Laureate International is proud to present the poetry of its members. We endeavor to publish poetry which leads the world towards a reality of equality for all people, races, religions, and ethnic origins without harm or loss of dignity and respect.

This is a new website. Please visit us often to see new poetry.

Please choose your poetry with care. This is your messages to the world.

We honor all languages. Our universal language for mutual understanding is English. We ask that poems and papers submitted in a language other than English will be accompanied by an English brief description or translation.

To submit to have your own poetry page on the UPLI website, you must be a current member of UPLI. Please send up to 5 poems in their original language with an English description or translation, your name, city, country, email, a photograph of yourself (passport type is best), and any commercial information about books for sale. UPLI will not be the agent for sales, so all sales information must be accompanied by your email address or street address. Short literary papers on topics of poetry will also be accepted.

Please send everything to UPLI sec./treas/editor Judy Hardin Cheung, jhcheung@comcast.net or UPLI sec./treas/editor Judy Hardin Cheung, 704 Brigham Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95404. No dues may be accepted by email at this time.

If you are not a member but would like to join, please fill out the membership form and send in your information, dues, photo and poetry as instructed in the Membership section. Please specify that this information is also to be used for publication on the webpage.

(Note: Please submit poetry, photos, and information as attachments or through the regular mail. We sometimes have problems opening non-English email. We will let you know if we receive email that we can not open.)

Your page will be your own. Your poetry page on the UPLI website will be yours to submit and update, change, etc. within the limits of time which will depend on the number of submissions and the schedule of the webmaster.

UPLI reserves the right to not publish material which UPLI considers to be offensive to any particular group. Controversial topics may be discussed, but must be presented in a manner that is not offensive to the people discussed in the topic of controversy.  If your website contains offensive material, UPLI reserves the right to not publish your link.
